4th of July Weekend Service Notice

There will be several service impacts on July 5th and 6th, 2024 due to the Algonac Pickerel Tournament activities. Please read below for the anticipated service impacts for each date.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately, the ferry service does not have a role in these decisions. Sunday, July 7th will be business as usual.

July 5th

Operating Schedule: 6:30am to 9:00pm

Last boat departs Canada: 8:45pm | Last boat departs USA: 9:00pm

We cannot transport vehicles, in either direction, from 5pm. Foot passengers only from 5pm to last boat at 9pm.

Due to the fireworks and closure of M-29 for the Algonac Pickerel Tournament, the ferry will end service one hour earlier on this day and stop transporting vehicles at 5pm - foot passengers only from 5pm to 9pm. The fireworks will be moved to July 6th at 10pm if there is rain. In this case, the ferry service will follow this same operating schedule on July 6th. We will post an update if this occurs.

July 6th

Operating Schedule: 6:30am to 10:00pm

We cannot transport vehicles, in either direction, from first boat at 6:30am until 2pm. Foot passengers only between 6:30am and 2pm.

Due to the parade scheduled at 12pm, the ferry will only be able to transport foot passengers between 6:30am and 2pm. The entire section of M29 where the Algonac port is located will be closed to vehicle traffic. Our operating schedule will remain unchanged, unless the fireworks are moved from July 5th due to rain.
