The planned rules for entry into the United States with a dog have been modified. Please read the US CDC website for all the details and use their “DogBot” feature to see what rules apply to your dog. Click the “Learn More” button below to launch the CDC website.

Starting on August 1st, 2024, new rules will be in effect for all travellers entering the USA with their dog.

Key Information

  • Your dog must be at least 6 months old to enter the USA on/after August 1st, 2024

  • You must submit documentation to the CDC in advance of your trip to the USA

  • Your dog must be up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a valid microchip
